Block Lays Off Nearly Half Its Staff in AI-Driven Reorg
Block announced a major restructuring, cutting nearly half its workforce as part of an AI-focused transformation. CEO Jack Dorsey said a “significantly smaller team” using internal AI tools can operate more efficiently. Another signal that AI-led org redesign is moving from theory to execution.
Kai Emerges from Stealth with $125M
Kai announced a $125M raise as it comes out of stealth, positioning its agentic AI platform as a machine-speed defense layer against AI-enabled adversaries. The company reports seven-figure bookings within its first 10 months.
