Social Media Outreach Freelancer
The Cybersecurity Marketing Society (the Society) is looking for a reliable, highly organized, detail-oriented Social Media Outreach Freelancer to execute structured LinkedIn outreach campaigns for membership and conference growth.
This role is open to both students and non-students. We care about precision, reliability, and follow-through.
You will be working directly with the Founder & CEO Gianna Whitver.

The Cybersecurity Marketing Society (the “Society”) exists to help marketers in cybersecurity be successful. Gianna Whitver and Maria Velasquez founded the company on a shared & simple goal: help marketers, however we can. Since 2020, we have helped hundreds of marketers grow their careers and skills in the fast-paced, constantly changing, and highly competitive industry of cybersecurity. Our mission is to help marketers and, in turn, we help cybersecurity companies be successful and make the world a safer, better place!

What's the Goal:
The goal is to increase attendance at the annual conference CyberMarketingCon by inviting people to attend from the company's accounts. Additionally, to invite people to our virtual events and other in-person events by messaging people to attend from the company's accounts.
Requirements:
✅ Available about 10-15 hours a week (more is welcome!)
✅ Highly organized and system-oriented
✅ Amazing writing skills without A.I.
✅ Fast typer on computer keyboard
✅ Comfortable performing process-driven, repetitive tasks
✅ Have used LinkedIn before
✅ Social media posts sent from the founder's LinkedIn account must be sent from the associated IP address in order to adhere with LinkedIn policies
✅ Computer-savvy and computer-native - if given a new software, you generally know or can learn how to navigate it quickly
Responsibilities:
✅ Execute LinkedIn outreach and InMail campaigns from company accounts
✅ Segmenting outreach messages by demographics (for example, targeting Austin locals with a specific message, targeting Field Marketing Managers and CEOs with different messages)
✅ Draft tailored messages for defined audience segments (most will be provided but some might require drafting)
✅ Formatting messages to professional standards
✅ Keep track of outreach in an organized way (example: Google Sheets)
✅ Follow up with messages that haven't been replied to
✅ Respond to messages on company accounts
✅ Other related tasks as mutually agreed to
This role includes a significant amount of structured data copying, pasting, and tracking. Attention to detail is critical. This is not a remote position. Outreach must be conducted from the designated IP address to comply with company security policy and social media platform policies.
